My psychology course is not only interesting, but also has future employment in mind, I actually feel like I am learning stuff that will help me in future. The lectures are easy to listen to and have a great personality so you won't find yourself being bored in lecture, there is the odd chance you'll have a monotone lecturer but it's rare and even then the content is still really interesting! My personal tutor is really friendly and really helpful, we actually discuss thing that will be helpful for future jobs and if I need support, I know they will help me. Most of it is on campus, but there is the odd bit to do online and two of the modules could be done fully online if you wanted to as there is flexibility to do so. Really great psychology course! read more

This course may work for some but not for others; if you don't enjoy writing lab reports, working with groups and/or sitting in several hours of lectures per week this probably isn't the course for you. The content itself is pretty interesting, the grading is evenly split between several exams in the latter half of the year and coursework/reports in the first half. Switched personal tutor halfway through the year due to the first going on paternity leave, second tutor seemed to be given the short half of the stick especially with little attendance of students. A couple pieces of coursework (namely the tutorial based ones) felt largely like a waste of time, although I understand why they were implemented as a source of self reflection. Can't speak much for job prospects because I haven't looked much into them, but there are many routes to follow in psychology it seems. read more

I really do don’t recommend attending this university. There is little to no academic support from lecturers or tutors even when you actively seek it out. The organisation of the course structure and assignments and exams for many modules were poorly thought out and organised which made it very very difficult as a student to succeed. Many student of my course have expressed similar feelings to me (wanting to drop out). Many student on my course and have complained to course leaders about the affect of the poor organisation of exam schedules on their mental health which was greeted by an email telling students that their complaining is ‘inappropriate’ and that they should contact mental health services. If you attend this university it will be very very difficult to succeed due to the lack of academic and emotional support, feed back is so so general and terrible and your potential will be wasted if you attend this university. Some lecturers are nice, some lectures can be interesting. read more

I was a bit disappointed in teaching abilities of the professors. Despite some of them being experts in the field, I feel like they don't really know how to demonstrate that knowledge to students, and some lectures can be quite boring and monotonous. I would personally like to make they course a bit harder, especially for Year 1. I also thin that the entry requirements should be higher, since about 50% of the people on the course drop out during the first year, meaning they are not really passionate about the subjects. I think if it was a bit harder, less people would attend just for the sake of having a 'uni experience'. read more

I felt the teaching quality in 2 year was diobolical compared to first year. I found myself having to study a lot harder in order to teach myself the content. I felt the courseworks we were given weren’t taught well at all. They were only explained in detail very close to the deadline which made it impossible to feel confident. read more
