This course offers a variety of multiple progression paths onto BSc courses such as Primary education, Social Work, guidnece and councilling,etc... Some modules within the course can make you feel a bit silly at the fact your paying money to learn this but it is useful and benefical knowledge to have. Note to future students: Doing this course at northumbria DOES NOT guarantee you to have a place on your desiried BSc pathway after completion of the foundation year, you are first required to pass each module therefore passing the entire year; then once you have passed you have to reapply for your BSc pathway and complete the application process (this still applies if you previously done the application process for the BSc pathway then went onto the foundation year as either a back up or due to circumstances such as not meating the entry requirements of your BSc pathway. read more

it is a guaranteed job at the end of it if you pass. Its a solid course and the examiners are very tough. Overall its okay but could be much better. Placement can be ridiculous but if lucky you can throughly enjoy it .The skills lessons can be fun. With this course, it's what you make it. If you put the effort in it will work out. The big benefit is the fact it's a guaranteed job at the end. read more
