£9,250 is a lot for any course, hence only 4 stars. But the teaching staff really do deliver brilliant research led teaching. Tutor sessions have also been really beneficial but there haven't been as many as I might've liked. Despite my physical geography preference I've still found first year human modules really enjoyable, mostly as a result of the brilliant lecturers who bring first hand experience to your learning.

When you do the maths (price per contact hour) though it is hard to see where the £9000 goes, especially when we don't get notes or lecture slides printed for us (something other courses benefit from and represents a significant weekly outgoing that I have to budget for). read more

The first year is mainly Human geography which is great if you enjoy it, but not for me. Second year was a lot better as there is room to specialize. There is a vast amount of knowledge in the department and the field trips are amazing. read more
