Challenging course (but in a good way!). Keeps you on your toes and has a wide range of courseworks [CAD drawings, Excel based problems, Maple Sheets (Maths Software)]. Modules vary in difficulty but a good variety of topics nonetheless. Weekly tutor sessions add a paternal factor where problems both relating to the course and uni life can be discussed for quick settling in and all lecturers easy to contact. All modules have problems classes to cement understanding from lectures and lecturers are more than happy to explain anything you don't understand. More and more lectures starting to be recorded for students to access outside of lecture theatres to complete missing notes or when something isn't well understood. Chem Eng companies always pop in to give info about placements/graduate schemes where a Placement Year is more than available for this course. read more
