Galway Central gives students the best of both worlds as the property is surrounded by nature while still being in a central location. The accommodation is situated in the centre of Galway Central, a stone's throw from the city centre and train station and within easy reach of university campuses.
Residents have the chance to meet their neighbours and hang out at one of the regular events, in the cinema room, games room or outdoor social space. If you are looking to get some work done, you can make use of the Wi-Fi and study rooms. For added convenience, there are laundry facilities, a residence team, a security team, CCTV, contents insurance and all-inclusive bills.
Choose to stay in a studio room and enjoy independent living or opt for a shared apartment with a communal kitchen and living space. All room options are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, work space, small double bed and ample storage space.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Galway central is a great place to meet other university students. It has a great community of international and domestic students. The cleanliness as well as apartment repair aspect has gotten much better compared to the previous year

Since the moment I stepped foot in the building, i felt welcomed by the amazing staff and residents of Galway Central Student Accommodation. I love everything about the building and I think the quality of the residence is amazing. The only setback I’ve had is the price, and I do think it’s more pricey than other options in the city. But apart from that I feel as though I’ve found a home in this building, and can’t wait to spend the next 4 years.

So far I have had a great experience at Galway central. Sinead and Christina are wonderful, and are always there to say hello and chat. The common spaces are an amazing addition and I use the common room and the movie theatre very frequently. I am very excited to spend the next few years here!

I’ve had a great experience here. The front desk are so kind and accommodating. I love the social area for doing work and hanging out with friends. The rooms are very nice and the location is perfect.

I think the apartments are very good and very well kept, apartments are just very expensive for students and paying extra on top of the rent for dryers and washers

Our site being located only 5 mins from Eyre Square provides our residents with great local connections such as coach station, bus station, train station and a plethora of pubs, cafes and shops within a few minutes walk! We are glad to hear you appreciate our friendly, helpful staff - they are always available Monday-Friday with our local security team on call during nights and weekends.
