Hi, thank you for your query. We currently offer limited on-site parking at Newport Student Village. This needs to be booked before arrival and payment is required in full. The cost for 42 weeks is currently £693.00. If spaces are no longer available a pay and display car park next door is offering Monday to Saturday parking and costs £16.50 per week.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

It's a great space for students who don't know anyone when they come but when they live in accommodation like Campus student village, they take a lot odlf memories when they finish the studies and go back to their country. During my three year stay at the accommodation while and during my final year, there has always been a great sense of community and great respect and admiration, from both day and night staff, I mainly am down during the night, and the night staff are always super polite and friendly, and make you feel right at home while remaining and upstanding a professional standard of care and respect to the job. Aisling and roseanna, are always helpful and caring, and always ensure every student and resident are treated with care, and ensuring they have everything they need or if they need anything, they’re always continue to serve even when the job is too tough, they ensure the building is well maintained and kept to a high standard of cleanliness, they give the accommodation the life and try to relate to the students.

An inviting community, staff are friendly and amazing social spaces. As a cyber student and frequent gamers wifi is imperative, and in Newport student village they do not cheap out on the wifi. Their organisation system for wifi devices makes organisation very simple. Whenever I have a question or problem the staff are more than happy to comply and help out.

Overall my experience with Newport student village has been positive. I've had 2 maintenance issues while I've been here. The first was that the oven wouldn't heat up properly, within 3 days we had a new oven. The second, the oven stopped turning on and by the next morning it was fixed. The location is a 5 minute walk from the university and 20 minute walk from the train station. All the rooms are en-suite which actually helped in deciding my university as well as my accommodation. The staff are available 24/7 and are very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are good, especially I'm comparison with some of the other accommodations I've seen and I dont mind the price. However, I do currently have an alternative kitchen 2 floors above me and across the corridor that my flat and a other flat are sharing for the next 2½ weeks while they do maintenance on ours which is not only an inconvenience but now there's double the amount of people trying to use the kitchen

Good location with everything that you need around you. Variety of shops within a 8 minute walk away at Friars Walk. Lidl and Asda are 5 minute walks away, Multiple multi storey car parks. The university is only a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. Bus and train station are within walking distance although slightly further. The accommodation is regularly cleaned, staff go out of their way to help you and always have a smile on their face. Someone is available at the reception desk 24/7 if ever you need anything. Any problems regarding your room and it will be sorted by maintenance. A common room is provided with tvs, a kitchen, pool table, a study area, beanbags to sit on, washing room etc. There is a vending machine at reception and a drinks stall. The staff also provide activities and events in the common room regularly such as breakfast club, pizza night, pancake day, baked potato dinner and much more. The bin areas at the accommodation are always kept tidy and emptied regularly.

Definatly worth it, plan on staying here for all 3 years. Social spaces always have people in them pool table/games console along with regular food/celebrations. Nice staff, but occasionally reporting things results in no outcome (e.g. noise complaints) but they are lovely people. 100% worth it compared to other university-owned accommodation, ensuit, good flat sizes, good rooms.

The student village is really close to my Uni, just a few minutes walk away. To maintenance team and security are really friendly and interactive. The rooms are great value for money, whether you’re in a Bronze or Studio, you get your moneys worth! Everyone room has an En-suite which I couldn’t be more thankful for, I like my personal space for sure! I’d definitely recommend this accommodation for students, as life is just easier than commuting from far away!

Honestly brilliant work from the staff. The location within Newport is great, a bit far from the train station if you want feedback for future builds. The number 1 thing I would charge is the lack of mixer taps in kitchens, the water can get dangerously hot which makes large washing up jobs as a group me more difficult. The only other thing that uses me is the delay on scanning the doors, but it's unlikely a anything can be done about it. Great accommodation, would recommend.

Staff are so nice and always up for a chat, 24/7 too so if you need your package at 3am, you can 😭 All included bills are worth it so much, especially with the current climate. Internet is super fast, kitchens and rooms have a ton of space compared to other accommodations. Tip: if you want a car parking space in the accommodation, get in contact to the accomadation as soon as! It's super limited and pay per year, once it's booked up, you can't get one for that year

Receptionist good to talk to on top of it all

The staff are nice and it’s a good place ti live if you make friends through your flat or course, however the biggest downfall is how strict it is with having social gatherings, it’s not like other accommodations where you can have socials in your flat, if you want one you have to either be quiet or tell them days in advanced which i find quite annoying considering that a lot of people that live here come for a social experience and can’t really have what other uni accommodations have such as gatherings in our flats WE pay for. there is the common room which is okay but sometimes people want gatherings in their flat with their own friends not in a social area.

The accommodation is a nice place. The team is friendly, helpful and welcoming. I feel comfortable and safe to stay there. What I do not like is just the laundry service. The washing machines are often unclean leaving dirt on my clothes.

Staff are always lovely, friendly and willing to help. Issues are fixed quickly and rates are very competitive with all inclusive water/electricity and 200mb/s internet. Social events are free and frequent. Overall a great place to live and right next to the university too.

Rooms were good and large for what you pay but social experience was terrible, I was lucky to have 2 chill flat mates but the rest were dirty and kitchen was filthy. Not too many social people and staff were half arsed. Also the hoover exploded

I have been robbed of food and when I put in an anonymous complaint about my hall mates the staff told them who made the complaint as well as the sheer noise is never told to quiet down unless it bothers the night guards not if people actually need to sleep for university, add on the fact that I'm paying £470 a month for this place it's disgusting treatment for someone who spends every penny they have to live here for university

Great value for money but poor social experience. Very near to an Asda but by a ridiculously busy road which is a disappointment.
