Cherry Court is ideally situated for students studying at the University of Bristol, as you can reach campus within a ten-minute walk. The city’s main bus station is nearby and provides easy access to UWE. The accommodation is also located in the city centre and is close to Bristol’s Cabot Circus, Broadmead shopping quarters well as Stokes Croft, where you have plenty of independent cafes, live music and graffiti. Bristol Bus Station is only minutes away and is where you can take a coach ride to London within two hours.
At Cherry Court, you have 176 rooms to choose from. These rooms have all been purposefully designed with students in mind and are furnished with a private bathroom and storage space. Outside your room, you have a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area that is shared with flatmates.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Very good value accomodation with good en suites but being in the city does damage the community vibe, and building works are annoying.

The location of the accommodation is a bit scary and unsafe, the trash point is so dirty and there are all spider webs around the door and 30+ flies coming out from the gate of the trash spot which is quite unpleasant which makes me don’t want to spend time recycling. Though the reception staff are so kind and friendly, they are so helpful which makes me want to stay here for my academic year.

I’ve had a really nice time here and love the location, for some people it may be considered not the safest and that’s why i’ve given it 4 stars. I’ve also tried to do maintenance requests with no response and booking my summer room has been difficult, otherwise i’ve had a lovely time :)

I like the flat mates but the kitchen window could be cleaned better

The overall feeling is very good and the atmosphere is good, but the most unbearable thing is that the soundproofing is extremely bad, every night time, next door always turn the music very loud causing me to have difficulty in sleeping, I really hate the loud music.

for the final year, I lived here. But, it was expensive. While I had a mobility problem, due to a medical treatment, I was not provided with disabled accessible room even though I asked accommodation office. This made my life very hard.
Cherry Court is located directly in the City Centre, a great social hub to go clubbing and meet new people within Bristol.

Staff are lovely! rooms are as you expect, kitchens pretty big. perfect location for me If only it was cheaper though!
Overpriced but has a good central location to the city centre and Gloucester Road. Great people in the building and has a more chilled vibe and sense of community due the size. Staff there are awesome to (we love you Howard!)
Not worth the money although the area is pretty decent and walkable distance to the shops. Room is a decent size but bathroom is fairly small although there is a proper shower rather than a wet room.
Great location, however ridiculously expensive! Am paying £784 a month. Receptionists are lovely and helpful and cleaners are also good. Takes a long time for maintenance to fix or see to things though. Was without a fridge freezer for three weeks!
The worst start to university possible. A selfish company and manager who said, and I quote, I care more about money then our low customer service levels. They're contract means nothing.
Friendly staff and very good location
Amazing! All the staff are always there, they never leave! If you're extra tall, don't worry, you won't hang off the bed!!Problems sorted within a second. Love the flat pets (silverfish)! And my friend definitely did not have to stay in my room for 5 days due to 'pests'... Love the smell of marijuana 24/7. The mould/damp in the bathroom is great too, really adds to the 'student' experience. Oh and also room D doesn't have a window. What a perk.
