Joined Wardley House during the 2022/2023 academic year and have been there two years now. It's a good value for money accommodation and the staff are very friendly. Angelica and Chris were two staff members who always greeted me and were very friendly. The room is nice sized with a nice ensuite and the shared kitchen was very large which accommodated for 5 people. Enjoyed my stay there and I look to join them again, God bless

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Pros: Very cheap Spacious rooms Fast Internet, Lovely staff Cons: No real ventilation Elevators take forever
Great accomodation. Really can't be beaten by any other accomodation in Bradford.
Exceptional staff who always go above and beyond to help in any way possible. They always greet students with a smile as they pass through reception which always brightens my day. Rooms are large and spacious with plenty of storage space and a great sized en suite shower room. Kitchens are large with copious amounts of storage for food and crockery items. The building hosts regular social events such as bingo and seasonal parties to help everyone feel welcomed and included.
As opposed to other student accommodations, there is someone always available on site to address any issues that may arise. They also offer a flexible payment plan to depending on the contract you decide to opt for, this comes in really handy.
Generally a nice place to live, thats close to the city centre and not too far from the university. It has good wifi and decent size rooms, however the rooms get ridiculously warm in the summer.

Living in student accommodation provides opportunities for forming close friendships, engaging in communal activities, and fostering a sense of independence. However, it also comes with challenges such as managing shared spaces, adapting to diverse living habits, and balancing academic and social responsibilities. Overall, it's a pivotal aspect of the university experience that contributes to personal growth and lifelong memories.
Desk was very friendly and very helpful everytime
I'll call Wardley House a home to non other
Without a doubt, this is one of the beat student accommodation facilities in the UK! I'm comfortable with the property. Decent room, spacious kitchen, regular updates. Only is issue is with the lift. It gets faulty too often! I'm happy I chose Wardley.
Good value for money , perfect location in the city centre. Staff is always helpful and welcoming, especially ms Grażyna who always brightens my day and resolves my issues. Lovely person who makes my stay much better and memorable and deserves recognition for her hard work. Angelica is very warm , kind and quickly addresses my concerns and cares about the students well-being - right person in the right place.
The manager Angelica is very hands on and proactive.
I have room that is the best from other accommodation. I am so happy. Thank you so much. I am so grateful for your help.
Wardley student Accommodation Bradford is the number one Top notch for both Uk and international students..friendly customer service number and room well suited for , winter which is extremely warn inside
Wonderful and affordable place to live in
Overall , the management is great at dealing with issues and friendly ,however there is currently only one lift in use within the building , I am aware of difficulties in doing so but there is a current wait on another lift which would be helpful as waiting a while for the lift and for such a big building. The internet is significantly better than other accomodation I have stayed in which cost more money. Cleaning wise I have been neutral however , the bin store has currently been moved but the bin store is not nearly as good as it could be for again such a big building, even though I am aware that there maybe limited space due to the location of the building. The location of the building is fantastic as it in the middle of the city with small walk to the university , highly accessible areas. That is why overall , I have been impressed and satisfied as I feel like I got more for my money than I did elsewhere which cost more.
Lift was not working from almost a year. No system for ventilation
Lee, manager, works hard alongside with Chris to keep this old building functioning. From small maintenance jobs to finally fixing the broken lift, they've often gone above and beyond for everyone even under extraordinary pressure from the residents.
Lived at Wardley for two years! Was good value for money and friendly staff but residents who are unclean can affect the whole building which is disappointing as it would be 5 stars if this wasn’t the case! Definitely think the staff work very hard to attend to everyone’s needs :)
The staff are always happy to help and resolve any issues, the rooms and bathrooms themselves are a perfect size for and individual and provide the necessary comforts needed. Regular social nights such as bingo and parties.
genuinely my stay has been lovely the only issues we encountered me and my friends is the constant lift issues along with a single occurrence of cockroaches which was fixed asap, im looking forward to move in with w working lift.
The biggest issue is maintenance of the lift. It is now a regular occurrence to leave the building in the morning with the lift working, and come back a couple of hours later or in the evening and see an “out of service” board infront of the lift, leaving us residents to climb between 5 and 13 flights of stairs, which we aren’t prepared for with heavy bags which in my case has injured my back.
The lift hasn't been working since October. Constant problems with the water. Wifi does not work with certain apps. For the last month, temperatures have been between 25-30 degrees Celsius inside the flats which can be a real health hazard. Though management is good and friendly the experience left much to be desired.
Throughout the duration of the tenancy, the main lobby lifts have not been working. I have had a poor experience here. My friend and I have also gotten stuck inside.
Cheerful staff, very quick to respond but just a few issues with the building in terms of the lift. Thanks Lee and Angelica for being wonderful hosts.
I had a chance to live in Wardley House during my second academic year and I decided to live there in my third year as well. The staff is always very helpful and happy to chat. All the corridors, lifts and social spaces are very clean. The rooms are average size, but I believe that is more than enough for the students. Having bathroom in the room is very convenient and sharing kithcen with other flatmates gives more opportunities to interact with people. The only issue is that sometimes internet looses connection and the temperature inside the building during the summer is very hot.
Thanks for leaving us a great review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We really value your feedback and this helps us to continue to improve. During the summer months, we often provide residents with fans for their comfort. Once again, thanks for taking the time to leave your review, we truly love to hear from current and former residents.
