The students on campus are really friendly and I've noticed a lot of different interests represented through the societies and clubs the school offers. Unfortunately, the art school CSAD greatly lacks funding, so lots of the art students have to bring their own supplies since the only real thing the studios have in abundance is paper. I only wish CSAD was taken more seriously. read more

Cardiff Metropolitan is a wonderful choice for prospective students. Landlaff campus is known for its great contribution towards sustainability and Cyncoed campus has top facilties for its sports majors and societies! Landlaff has an average of 3+ canteens/cafes where students and staff can go and socialise or continue with their work. Cardiff metropolitan promotes a really nice acdemic atmosphere! Although, the societies are a bit dire. Hopefully they can add more unique ones within the next couple years I'm there! The student union and student ambassadors are wonderful people who are very friendly and approachable, they have answers to most campus based questions! read more

Cardiff Met has been such a great place to study, especially for business and marketing. The course feels really practical, with a lot of focus on real-world applications and projects that actually prepare you for working in the industry. The lecturers are supportive, and you can tell they really care about helping us succeed, not just academically but in terms of our careers too. The facilities are modern, and the campus has such a welcoming vibe. it’s easy to feel comfortable here. Plus, being in Cardiff is a big bonus; it’s such a vibrant city with loads of opportunities for networking and experiencing business in a real-world setting. Now that I’m in my final year, it feels like everything’s coming together, and I can really see how this experience is setting me up for life after graduation. The careers team especially has helped me land a job after university at enterprise which I am really looking forward to doing. What I’ve really loved about Cardiff Met is how focused it is on read more

Met is a class uni, mainly down to the people who go here, being apart of sports teams is amazing both to improve your sporting ability and as a person. The course I currently do is amazing too, though there are way too many students who just shouldn't be there. They don't turn up, apply themselves and when we have to do group projects the people who do try are the ones who are effected. The SU is pretty dreadful, it's a small pub on campus with the same price pints as anywhere else. Compared to Cardiff su ours is so bad. Anything that ever is on never seems to be engaging, for example they don't even show the football in there, yet they show the superbowl final. read more

I recently had the privilege of being awarded the Digital Skills Learner of the Year award for 2024 at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and I wanted to share my positive experience with the Digital Skills program and the team behind it. The program offers a wide range of courses, catering to diverse needs and skill levels. I personally benefited from courses ranging from technical subjects like Web Design Fundamentals and Information Technology Specialist Cybersecurity to practical applications like survey design with Qualtrics and Microsoft Office Specialist certifications. The program also supported my journey to achieve Microsoft Certified Educator status. This breadth of offerings demonstrates a strong commitment to holistic digital skills development. What truly sets this program apart is the supportive and dedicated staff. Gareth Johns, the Digital Skills Manager, was particularly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. As an international student, I had some spec read more
