Bangor University
The campus is quite small for the amount of students at the university. Pontio is always crowded, as anyone is allowed to go in, so its not the best place to study, its more of a social area. It would be great if Pontio were open 24 hours a day just for students, and maybe from 8pm to 8am only students are allowed in the building. The 2 pound meals in Teras are great, however we need more places in Bangor that provide these meals, as Teras is far too small for the amount of people that turn up. There can be a lot of bullying in clubs/societies so maybe having an anonymous platform in which students can speak about these types of events would be helpful. In terms of placements/ graduate jobs, more needs to be done with international students, as they do not know about what their options are in terms of sponsorship and visa requirements. Lastly the issue with homophobia and racism needs to be handled, with both students and lecturers as its concerning. read more
