Law with Criminology, LLB Hons FullTime

A Masters in Law with Criminology is a graduate-level degree program that combines the study of law with the study of criminology. This interdisciplinary program aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the legal and criminological aspects of the criminal justice system, including the nature of crime, criminal behavior, and the social and legal responses to crime. The program typically covers a range of topics, including criminal law, criminological theory, forensic psychology, criminal justice policy, and the sociology of crime. Students may also have the opportunity to explore specialized areas of law, such as human rights law, international law, or environmental law, as well as criminological topics like victimology, penology, and crime prevention. read more

The course has been really interesting. but would suggest that unless you are interested in policing that this course might not be for you. it includes a lot of sensitive topics and some subjects may be too much for some. The course allowed me to pick and chose certain modules I found interesting which let me look more into what I wanted rather than giving me set modules. The lecturers have been helpful and given me assistance when I needed it, granted some of them were not as useful when trying to understand university teaching and assessments. read more

Sociology and Criminology & Criminal Justice, BA Hons FullTime

My course is Criminology, criminal justice with psychology - there was no option for my course title as it has now been removed. The course is excellent however I have found that in my first and second year we have mainly just focused on psychology - we haven’t done much on criminology considering that is suppose to be the main course I picked with psychology as an extra but I am hoping year three I will have chance to pick more criminology subjects. Tutors are all great and the course is content filled and set out in a way that is easy to understand. read more
