First year CS student here.Recently changing careers I can categorically leave a good advise to any potential student. Please do not waste your time or money going to the university of York. It is absolutely a disgrace what is going on there! I've seen the young adults in a completely distress trying to learn CS on their own. The work placement can be unfair even for those holding a first class according to some third year student. 4 out of 6 modules no TA's or teaching support is provided, lacks teaching, often notes can contain errors, a few modules invite you to watch YouTube third party content in order to learn(ARE YOU SERIOUS, WHY AM I PAYING THIS TUGS THEN). The mark system would bring any descent person to their knees from shame. Exam questions correctly answered are completely mark down without a justification.
