The university campus is in the city so it’s easy to get there, the lecture halls are quite cramped but it’s not bad, the library is nice however most the time it’s full so it’s hard to find a seat with friends to study together… I do feel like the lecturers and other teachers could do more to help and guide students… sometimes I have asked for advice and it felt like they didn’t really give me any back. The value of this university cannot be determined by its facilities alone. Our campus and library are somewhat average. However, the staff - from tutors to admin are utterly fantastic and consistently endeavor to help students achieve their full potential. My courses are interesting, dynamic and frequently updated to maintain relevancy. I am offered skills and courses that can be applied to a proffessional setting and am encouraged to pursue a placement to garner experience. York St John has excellent facilities, wellbeing, cafe’s, library services and library space to study comfortably, when it’s not very crowded, where sometimes study space can be a down to luck. The lecturers are very helpful and understanding, especially of disabilities and adapting the university assessments to fit my disability need. Overall, York St John offers a good and memorable experience with easy access to the city centre for other joyful experiences and food. read more
