I’m paying nine odd thousand a year for PowerPoint access at this point. The lecturers read off of these powerpoints and in seminars they tell you to go away and read everything for next week then barely discuss any of it so there little to zero point. My personal tutor was actually rather helpful for me by simply giving a straight up list of what I needed to do without the rubbish waffle I received everywhere else read more

Every module I have taken has been very well taught, and the lecturers are amazing at addressing concerns through contact time and email. The way assignments are issued and marked is also another aspect which the course is immensely good at doing. Never have I felt discouraged to ask for advice and I've found the HSS faculty extremely efficient in its management. I love studying history at the university! Lecturers are all really helpful and make the content even more interesting! All lecture slides are available on the learning network as the lecture finished which is really helpful to consolidate your notes when you get home. Assignments are marked to meet the set deadlines, never had one returned late. Seminars last year (first year) mainly involved source analysis which I did not always find most useful, as I would have preferred to use that time to discuss assignments and what is needed in them. However seminars still interesting and good to go over content in lectures. read more
