this is a very small university in a town with little to no social life - the university experience here is very different but the teachers and lecturers here are phenomenal - especially the healthcare department. really good one on one interaction with lecturers for help, fast email replies and quick grades back :) read more

The only thing lacking at this university is the amount of societies and clubs, however the student union makes up for this with the amount of events they run. My favourite day was when they gave out free krispy kreme donuts! They also run events like pottery painting or food crawls throughout the entire year which is nice as they don’t spend all their time on freshers and ignore events the rest of the year read more

There is a gym that I did use during my second year however I felt that I did not have time to use it in my third year, no fault of the accommodation or university’s. There is also table tennis and a communal area that I appreciate. I am not familiar with any clubs or society’s that interest me, however I have heard of a few. This perhaps could be better marketed. Additionally, I do not have a large amount of knowledge about the student union and so I cannot comment on this too much. The careers team are amazing not only at the university but also the accommodation team will gladly support students where they can in this decesion. And again the wifi has minimal faults. read more

Had a really good experience with this university in my diagnostic radiography degree. Lecturers are brilliant and always there for support. I made a lot of friends in my lectures and I came straight out of my degree with a job all ready and set up. I would not change anything about my experience and wish it could have lasted longer. read more

University of Suffolk has been a challenging experience as a mature student with mental health conditions. A very good experience none the less. With all the support available from the varying departments. Many events throughout the year to keep you informed and learn new things outside of you're course and societies to keep you busy in you're your down time. All of the staff that I have encountered deserve their praise, they all have helped me with any challenges that I faced, small or large. Even lecturers helping remotely in evenings and weekends. read more
