The University of Southampton have a beautiful campus filled with nature and modern buildings. The community is very welcoming and diverse; you will be able to see someone from your community, especially in societies. The university has over 350 societies, ranging from sports to art and culture, so you'll never feel left out. In terms of the students' union, the staff are nice in supporting students in their social life by promoting university fun activities on the students' union website and also in the students' union shop, where students can grab lunch or snacks. The staff are really helpful. Moreover, in my opinion, the careers service is really good in supporting students to help them build up their future careers. For example, they have a 1-1 CV advisor in which a staff member looks at your CV and gives you detailed advice. The student services building also has a communal space where students can work in a quiet area, and staff are on site who can help you. read more

Nice campus with good facilities. Loads of study spaces and places to eat. Highfield campus is very well connected and easy to get to from all accoms + student areas. Wide variety of clubs and societies to get involved with. I've enjoyed every club I've been a part of in my time at uni. Good careers service - they have helped me source multiple placements during my time at uni. The Student Union itself can be hit or miss. Prices of food/drink has consistently increased during my time at university, which is unavoidable, but I don't think they always appreciate what the majority of the student body want (cheap meal deal + cheap pints). Overall they are fine, but could be better. read more
