“From Curiosity to Purpose” When I arrived at the University of Reading, I was driven by curiosity—a desire to question and grow. During my MSc in Pharmacy Practice by Research, I realised pharmacy is not just about science—it’s about people. My supervisors challenged me to think deeply, transforming my learning into meaningful contributions. Now, as a PhD student in Pharmacy Practice, my curiosity has become purpose. Every day, I’m inspired by the knowledge that my research could improve lives, advance practices, and spark innovation. This isn’t just a story of my education. It’s the story of finding purpose, and it began at the University of Reading. read more

There's more clubs and societies than all other universities I've heard about. There's a very wide range and the majority don't require paid membership. The sports ones usually require a fee, and if they need to use the sports park that's very expensive. The price to use the Sportspark (gym, table tennis rooms etc.) increased like 400% in a year, it's a ridiculous price tbh. read more

I’ve loved my time at Reading so far! And to think I wasn’t even considering it when I added it to my list of 5 unis. Talking to the department at the open day completely changed my mind - the enthusiasm and knowledge they had in their areas inspired me, and I knew Reading was the place for me. I’ve made so many friends despite knowing no one to begin with. The accommodation and facilities were great (I was in the townhouses, which I thought I would hate but it was fantastic, however on campus accom has gotten a lot more expensive since 2024 😬) and I’m so glad I joined a society where I met so many long term friends. My course is fab, highly recommend languages at Reading, it’s so much fun and super flexible if you want to pick up new languages. The library is a great place to study but there’s also The Lounge if you want to heat up your lunch, and a Global Study Lounge and Miller Languages Lounge which are great. Societies are a little limited in range but the existing ones are great read more
