Biomedical Science, BSc Hons FullTime

Great degree, aimed at those with and interest in medical research or those just interested in the human body and not sure where to go with it. Lots of job opportunities or possibilities for further education wherever your interest lies. Variety of teaching methods, lectures, seminars, self directed learning, lab workshops, practical sessions, research projects etc with good lectures that are approachable and interactive. Good value for money as you get lots of contact teaching time and also some of the tuition goes towards the materials and chemicals for lab work/ research which are surprisingly expensive!

Love my course so much, there’s a lot of value on the practical side of it. The only thing is I am disappointed in my third year optional modules. There’s a lot of microbiology ones and conservation ones however I would like more of an emphasis on actual medical based modules for those who want to go into healthcare/medicine routes after graduation. read more

So far it's a pretty interesting course and the lecturers clearly know what they're talking about. It's accredited by the IBMS which will definitely be beneficial when looking for jobs later on. Lectures don't get recorded which is a shame bc if you miss one it's quite difficult to catch up on. read more
