I'm very happy that I chose film production. Overall the course so far has provided me with everything I've wanted from it, however, I would like even more film-shooting content to have been part of the course as opposed to the Film Language module which feels like a waste of time as it's more film studies than film production and doesn't reward students wanting to create films as it's far too irrelevant and academic based for this type of course . read more

I learnt a great deal on my course at Portsmouth and it enabled me to both go on a placement year and land a job immediately after graduation. The course reshuffled during my time there and units changed, so it looks like there is continuous analysis on how to improve the course. My lecturers were fantastic and helped me along the way. The course changed significantly during COVID and as I didn't have access to facilities I can't honestly say my final year was worth the money I paid, but that couldn't be helped. read more
