The staff at this institution are nice and some are quirky. However, this course was not challenging enough AT ALL!! Along with you having to buy £50 textbooks here and there. My friend was studying Engineering so I could understand him paying £9k a year considering he's got fancy equipment. However, your telling me the Business department can't hand out some textbooks... From what I learn't I got taught at GCSE with a bit more explanation behind it.. For the first 5 lessons my economics seminar tutor went on about opportunity cost and something about him being confused about why chicken ceasor wraps were more popular than Hoisen Wraps and about why they didn't stock more? I'm paying £9k a year and your telling me about this WHY?! Along with a student in his 3rd year asking whether his CV should be 1 or 2 pages as he's had 'conflicting information.' What are these people teaching?! On paper Portsmouth Uni is great for a Business student. However, the experience is piss poor. read more
