Honestly, I couldn't be happier with my course. Being small, I feel supported and included in everything we do. I know all of my lecturers on a first-name, conversational basis and they are supportive and engaging. My personal tutor was one of my lecturers, which made me feel so supported whenever I needed help because we already were able to build a close relationship - both my PT and lecturer were instantly there for me and endlessly supportive when I went through a tough time and needed EC. Job prospects are amazing; the range of clinical placements were have access to are great and being taught in a medical school that is in a hospital makes you feel immersed in a clinical environment the minute you start your course. read more

The course is definitely not medically focused and feels more food science like in the first and second years. Modules have overlapped in content and assessment which can feel like a waste of time. Timetabelling is often bad with lectures being random and not fixed week to week, especially in first year. I have had more than one lecturer who I feel did not communicate clearly the coursework briefs. The job prospects are very good with most people getting a job with their placement provider. read more

Absolutely love my course, I find most tutors to be great and explain things clearly and are also very helpful in case we have questions. The university offers a lot of support which is amazing. Some modules may seem odd at first but they all tie together. read more

Nutrition, BSc Hons FullTime

This course costs £6500 and it 100% NOT worth the money. They pretend to care about you in the first semester and we have regular meetings with your personal tutor and you learn about the fundamentals of nutrition (relevant). After that, probably when they've received the next payment, the interest in you drops off and you're only in 2 half days a week. Don't do this course if you're looking to get a job out of it... you don't learn any industry experience or real-life examples. The postgraduate end of year project is horrendously organised. You don't hear anything about throughout the year and then you're given a random list of project titles (all of which were very uninspiring this year) and you have to pick your favourite (this is around March). Then you don't hear anything for ages... but suddenly you have to be available when they say. Don't expect to be able to plan any sort of summer plans because they'll mess you around. read more
