The chemistry department is overall pretty good. The course is challenging but worth it and the teaching staff really care about the subject and our learning. There is always something going on and the chemistry support office are the most wonderful people. read more

During covid-19, our teaching was moved online and I can't say it was handled very well. Not all of the teachers on my course knew their way around electronic means of teaching, therefore our education was compromised when we didn't have the resources we needed. We had no set schedule, or any help for independent work if we were stuck. There was no settling us in from our A-levels to university, they just threw us in, which was especially difficult during the pandemic and online teaching. However, I did get a lot of help with my disability from the chemistry support office. read more
