The most dreadful adult nursing degree, avoid if you don't want to be completely miserable for 3 years, lecturers are unsupportive and often never reply if you need help, teaching has been extremely poor over the last 3 years, still providing online classes when all other courses had begun to teach in person again after covid, very little pastoral support from staff, definitely regret choosing hull for nursing and definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

I applied to study Adult Nursing after having worked as a care assistant without having had any sickness absence and was already educated to postgraduate level. I left my job and put my house on the market after my offer status was changed to unconditional. However, the Head of Admissions Service rescinded my offer, thus preventing me from taking up a place at my insurance university (De Montfort), where I had obtained occupational health clearance and no reasonable adjustments were deemed to have been necessary. Evidence of how disrespectful and unkind that the university's staff are to disabled applicants was that they sent me the e-mails that were being sent to students who had been allowed to commence the course. The university's reason for rescinding my offer was, 'he was unable on the currently available medical information to offer a health opinion upon your medical fitness to commence student nurse training'- it was his responsibility to obtain what he required! read more
