I am a disabled person who was studying media and living on campus last year. Due to personal reasons and difficulties, i left early. I was told if i handed my keys in and put in the suspension form, they would only charge me for the time i was there (until march) i do both, and was ignored, they charged me as if i was there the full year. they did not have my disability plan until i had to show them it, they gave me a "medical priority" room, where the heating didn't work in winter and the shower flooded my bathroom any time i needed to use it, resulting in me sleeping in coats and being unable to shower regularly, they knew i was waiting to get my blue badge for my car, yet they wouldn't budge on giving me an exception, leaving me to have to carry bags of shopping across a dangerously busy main road, or shop at the more expensive on campus "spar" in the first module, i was put as a writer in my group, i could not attend the next two lectures, hospital reasons, i come back ignored. read more

wouldn't recommend hull for adult nursing, absolutely dreadful support and teaching given to students and you often can't get in touch with staff when you need help. the uni in general has a lack of support for struggling students and the student union are too focused on making profits then actually doing their jobs. I have hated every minute of my time at hull and I deeply regret choosing this uni, avoid for nursing if you actually want an enjoyable experience read more

some campus buildings are modern however a few aren’t up to date. SU isn’t great , not much communication and don’t really know who to go to especially when i got spiked in the SU nightclub. careers service seems okay , not used it yet. lots of selection for clubs and most are welcoming especially ice hockey. wifi is good , works in lectures , nothing to complain about read more

The WiFi is poor and often cannot connect - when it can it’s very slow. I’ve missed online lectures because the WiFi wasn’t good enough for my laptop. The clubs are either sporty or strange so not interested which really hinders social life. Not many social events other than nights at the club otherwise. read more

Although student support is advertised everywhere when you actually need help they are pretty useless. Good luck fitting in as mature student. No thought to those who may have child care issues. Felt extremely segregated. read more

Do not recommend this University, lack of support from the top. University is far too interested in the countless Open Days that they hold instead of supporting their current students. read more
