Paramedic Science, BSc Hons FullTime

Not terrible, but other uni's offer far more resources for the same price. Non-clinical placements seem to be a total afterthought, typically being care homes or a week or two in a school talking to little ones. Compared to my paramedic co-workers from other unis, their placements involved shadowing doctors, nurses and specialists in hospitals; I feel much less prepared and quite literally poorer than other students because I had to take time out of work to do the same job but for free! Teachers can be hit and miss. Some are simply wonderful and make this university bearable. Others seemingly have no concept of teaching and simply turn to irrelevant youtube videos to do the teaching for them. Frankly, don't make this your first choice. read more
