So with my course I study general life sciences for the first 2 years which is great if your not 100% sure on what you want to specialise in as course swaps are quite easily facilitated. However if you are sure on the area that your interested in it can be quite frustrating going over quite a few topics your not interested in, for example I love human biology and find it fascinating however this weeks lectures has been quite a lot of plant biology which doesn’t really interest me personally, but it does have its advantages broadening your knowledge in other fields of study.

I believe covid has massively impacted my view of the course, I cannot speak for how it is ran out with the pandemic however personally I have found very little support, lots of strike action, I have recently realised in order to get a related job in the field I must then complete further education and with my degree alone I can’t really get a job read more
