Very poor experience. Too many asynchronous and online things to do, while other courses or unis are doing many more in-person activities. Sometimes courses are too philosophical, too niche or too experiment/specific research focused in order to get useful and applicable lessons for our future career. I have studied elsewhere and learned much more than I have here. However, professors are friendly. But now I know that prestige doesn’t necessarily mean quality. read more

Edinburgh is a fantastic city and uni with a great reputation. However as far as the teaching is concerned the department is very unorganised. Lecturers often lack the ability to teach by more than reading word for word off a PowerPoint screen. Very underwhelming and under supportive programme through the lack of tutorial opportunities despite the high cost of uni. read more

1. Great lecturers and courses well structured (Psychology 1 - super interesting, well-structured, same for Econ 1) 2. Edinburgh is a nice city to live in (most things in walking distance, clubs, safe, libraries) 3. Good job prospects and high starting income for economics 4. Support available such as: tutorial tutor, lecturers, peer assisted learning support, advice place, teaching office. Haven't used my personal tutor much. read more
