Philosophy and Linguistics, MA Hons FullTime

Fantastic course, I'd recommend it. It's extremely interesting, and linguistics is taught especially well. My personal tutor has disappeared, but that's pretty much the only problem. read more

Philosophy, MA Hons FullTime

Philosophy is meant to be fun. Edinburgh somehow sucks all the fun out of it. Lectures are rushed, and tutorials are made 'mandatory'. I am convinced the latter is to have data for the SNP's questions. The tutor system is a joke. I don't even know what my tutor looks like. The department clings on to its illustrious past. In all honesty, it's awful. If you want to study philosophy go elsewhere. read more

Daft degree to take if you want a job at the end of it! The lecturers seem to think that the status and prestige of the uni will carry them through so they don't really need to put much effort in. And God help you if you don't understand something! read more
