Like I said I’m the last part, because teaching styles are so different, it is what you make of it as a student that counts. Workshops and other extracurricular things compliment your studies, and you have to find it yourself and ways to fill up that time. The teaching is great, but there is a limit of tutors and how much time they can spend with students due to art funds. read more

If I could I wouldn't give this 0. I'm going to start of with the amount of racism towards me and a few others of poc (people of colour). Tutors are not even bothered to help apart from degrade your work if it was somewhat different. Avoid this at all because the budget for this university is appalling, sewing machines broken. And when you ask for help tutors are often busy in there office and only put a slide together and no help for students who don't understand English. If your going through problems like I did mental problems they wouldn't care and would tell you that everyone is struggling and blabbla avoid this uni at all costs waste of money no learning no nothing. read more

Studio facilities were lacking and underfunded; always machines breaking or exploding, mouse infestation, technicians were late to opening the studios for us. Any good staff we had left within the term as they are underpaid. Experienced discrimination from staff and peers and was told to basically get over it and not to bring it up. A lot of the learning help I got was from the underpaid technicians as most of the time our tutors didn't care to want to help our (final year) class and would deter other tutors from trying to help us. read more

Fashion Marketing & Communication, BA Hons FullTime

The course hasn’t been running smoothly, there have been issues from first year lack of clarity or communication or not a variety of activities to complete, mainly we were asked to complete presentations or magazines. On the other hand tutors were considerate and gave us good opportunities to talk to guest lecturers and ask about our job prospects. read more

It’s a good course however tutors aren’t willing to help, we get no materials for the amount of money we spend a year to be there and none of the tutors really prepare you for job prospects outside of university read more

As I mentioned earlier, it is definitely one of the worst universities in London! Extremely disappointing is the fact that nothing but solving issues with teachers was done. read more

The facilities are rubbish! Most of the sewing machines seem to be broken or just not adequate for the amount of work that needs to get done. The teaching quality is poor, I feel this is more down to the university itself than the tutors. read more

Fashion Design, BA Hons FullTime

In the first year, I haven't learnt much, the course was so unorganised and so disjointed, we spent a lot of time doing the same thing over again, which didn't teach us anything of fashion design, our technical class was the only really good class we had were we learnt how to pattern cut and the lecturers in this class were amazing, shame they have left now.. the sewing room is a joke how all the machines are so old and always breaking, there isn't enough for two years to share especially around finals, our department is so underfunded which we have been told by many faculty staff, makes you think where our tutiton fees are going. read more
