Outdoor and Adventure Education, BA Hons FullTime
The course is good fun with lots of practical elements and theory-to-practise links. The course content is very good for jobs in the sector after graduating. The lecturers have great links to lots of centres, people and places for gaining qualifications or experience for your placement year. The course is very fun, the residentials are good fun and you learn a lot and get to know you fellow course mates. However, the course is VERY expensive! you have to pay £750 extra to go on the residentials (which was not told to us before applying) along with this you have to pay for your own food on the residentials and pay for kit before starting. To get the extra qualifications, you will also need to pay for this on your own (which is also very expensive!) The course (in my opinion) can become redundant as in the outdoor sector you do not need a degree to get a good job, you need the experience and specific qualifications for that field. The course does not give you these quals. read more
