Having completed my undergrad at the University of Bristol, my expectations were set high when I accepted my choice at the University of Chester for their 4 year GEM program. I can honestly say that the student support I have received, both personal and academic, has been second to none. Being a slightly smaller institution, the staff have so much time for you and you feel like a really valued member of the student body. Additionally, the facilities are state of the art and absolutely incredible. I really love UoC and can’t wait to spend the next few years here! read more

My time as a UoC student has been very exciting and somewhat challenging. I would say that it’s a lot more different from the education system in my home country. However, my lecturers and the staff of UoC has made this transition a lot easier for me. UoC has different campuses across Cheshire with the main campus on Parkgate Road, Chester. There are so many school owned and private accommodations and it’s relatively easy to get an accommodation near the school. I’m thankful for my PAT, lecturers and my project supervisor. The uni is the perfect size, not too big but not too small. Very easy to get around with maps all around to help guide you to the right places. The library is open all day so is useful if you need somewhere to study late on in the day. The clubs and societies are very diverse with lots of different clubs to try out new things and try new stuff. read more

Honestly please just put a vending machine in a building other than the library and period products somewhere else on campus because they’re not always even in the campus shop in an emergency and the one bathroom with the machine doesn’t even always work and only had tampons with no applicators read more

The university is very good at making everyone feel welcome by putting on events for people to attend. There is a whole range of society's for students with a range of hobbies. They also offer lots of help with your academic work by providing library services and the ASK team. The student union keep you updates and put on a lot of events. read more
