With it being a music course it hs so much potential to be exciting and career building however, for a music course it is very limited on opportunities. having friends in other unis on the same course across the country, they have done so much within their first yer and I think Chester is very out dated in its course, things that would bring this course to life and more motivational for our musicians, would be to help students connect with other cities and organise ore gig opportunities for students to help teach music within the real world!. I also think for a music course the lectures are very boring nd takes the spark out of our musicians, if anything they should be pushing us nd exciting and the teachers could make a big effort with being more creative on how they teach these courses, were music students after all we love chaos !! and I think if the uni helped push students to go out with their music (not just alexanders) and helped us reach outer contacts it would be great read more

Course has been pretty great so far. Kingsway has lots of cool and modern facilities, including an incredible studio paired with some other recording booths, multiple rooms full of modern iMacs and plenty of equipment needed for production, a cafe and a common room for people to congregate after class and a hall. Course has been a bit weirdly organised at times. Year is quite short, starting in September and ending in May. But there are so many modules going on at once in the middle that it makes me wonder why this is the case. We get no exams in May like some courses but we have no lectures this entire month, I feel like it would be better to bleed some over a bit and cut down on the early mornings/late afternoons. The PAT is the only thing I am very annoyed about. I started the year with a PAT who left in the middle of the year which really threw me off. Apparently he was always supposed to be leaving, which makes me wonder why he didn’t leave before or after the year. read more
