I’m still hearing that Cambridge Law Faculty is caught up in the 1940s, but there are some very smart and very good teachers here. And there can be no substitute from being taught by the guys who wrote the standard text - gives a lovely feeling of privilege.

You have lectures throughout the week plus supervisions for each subject, consisting of 3-4 people. It's the supervisions that you're doing the work for - you'll have a reading list for each one plus essays usually every other supervision (I usually had 2 essays per week, although it varied). The supervisors and lecturers are, on the whole, very knowledgable. In comparison to other unis you tend to go into more detail about the development of the law, not just what it is now, and how it might develop in the future etc. I didn't get as much out of it as I could of because I prioritised extra-curriculars etc. too much but overall very glad that I studied it. With regards to careers prospects I secured a City training contract just after my second year. read more
