This course is very badly run and it's as if nobody cares, or at least nobody is taking responsibility to seriously improve things. You're going to be frequently bombarded by code written to a totally unacceptable standard and I genuinely wonder whether some lecturers know anything about the subject they're teaching. In a drive to save money, you're also frequently taught by phd students with no training or experience in lecturing. A lot of people around me are smart people without much experience and they're really struggling due to a lack of support, a lack of cohesive course content and due to an extremely high workload (second year). Occasionally I meet a lecturer or tutor I think is going to be engaged but every time their apathy becomes incredibly apparent when even the most basic of mistakes aren't corrected. The advice here is outdated and overall it's a total mess. read more
