Entry requirements for Humanities, Liberal Arts and General Studies and Combined, General or Negotiated Studies at University of Birmingham
Entry requirements are the formal requirements students need to meet to be considered for a place on a university course. But, each year many universities accept students with lower grades. The bar chart below shows the actual UCAS tariff points of students currently on this course.

Required subjects for Liberal Arts BA Hons at University of Birmingham
Excluding General Studies.
One of these must be an A-level or equivalent in a subject that includes essays as a form of assessment.
Music requires A level Music at grade A, or alternatively grade 6-8 ABRSM Theory or ABRSM grade 8 Performance provided it is completed alongside three A levels. Equivalent Trinity or LCM Music theory qualifications are still considered.
Modern Languages students wishing to study a language at advanced level will need to have a grade B in A-level in that language.

Studying at the University of Birmingham as an international master’s student from Brazil has been an amazing experience. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported, which made adjusting to a new country so much easier. One of the best parts has been meeting people from all over the world and learning from different cultures and perspectives. Being a student ambassador has made my journey even more special. I love sharing my experience with new students and helping them feel at home, just like I did. The university offers so many great resources, from career support to fun social events, making it a fantastic place to grow both academically and personally. Lovely place to live as a student, especially as an international student. Have been here with Metalworks for 3 years and it's been extremely safe, reliable and pleasant. Stayed in a 5 room flat for first year (with amazing flatmates) and the following 2 in the bronze studio. Always warm and comfy in the rooms. Reception always have a solution for everything and maintenance is always swift. Highly reccomend to those looking for an extremely close, safe and reliable accomodation next to university. read more
