Chemical Engineering, MEng Hons FullTime

Teaching is a mixed bag, some of it is good and some is downright terrible. Many lecturers do not properly prepare you for coursework or exams. Lecture notes are often terrible and you are not properly told what you should even be studying text books, just given a list of several 1200 page recommended books. Rooms are often overcrowded and either too hot or freezing cold. Many students got in through clearing and are not serious, always talking through lectures wich makes it difficult to concentrate. Many lectures are delivered in a extremely booring way. Feedback to the uni is never acted on. Many of the staff are completely unhelpful and even though they are supposed to make themselves available for an office hour each week, fail to do so. Staff often treat you as if they are doing you a favour by 'teaching' you. read more
