I’ve loved my time at the Conservatoire so far but I do believe that it’s missing a key part of any uni. The clubs outside of our courses are very limited. When exercise is a key part of young people’s lives and their is limited options from our uni or conservatoire it becomes very easy to just not do any exercise. I find it hard to hear in lectures how musicians have bad mental health when they’re missing out on any physical activities. read more

I'm an undergrad music student. RCS is an excellent conservatoire with nice facilities and caring staff. We're always busy - there are SO many projects and performance opportunitites. SU is very caring but basically no societies because everyone is so engrossed in their studies. Glasgow is a fab city and the conservatoire is right in the center. I've made great friends in RCS, the institution attracts very creative and warm-hearted people, especially those who are unafraid to think outside of the box. Alumni do well for themselves too! Highly recommend. read more

Being in Uni is great and the staff and teachers are lovely, the only downside is it’s hard to get onto the wifi sometimes which takes a while but all in all pretty good practice rooms and the environment is amazing! read more
