Excellent course with a very practical approach. Facilities and equipment are remarkable and tutors very committed to students, critical, demanding and helpful. The building, in Headington campus, is an extraordinary example of the most advanced design and technology, not easy to find in other schools of architecture and it is surrounded by parks and green areas and very well connected to Oxford city centre (10 m. by bike or 20 m. walking). I am almost finishing my degree and I could say that the course, the uni, the people and the place have fulfilled all my expectations. read more

The architecture course is very intense and very rewarding in the same time. Oxford School of Architecture does a great job in offering you a very independent perspective over architecture- they put a tremendous emphazis on creativity and developing your personal interests through the projects you are given. Here you aren't basically forced to do anything- lectures, studio time, tutorials are all interconnected and rather providing a simulating learning environment then leaving you with a notebook full of lecture notes that you have to learn by heart by the end of the week. The course relies on our obsession over architecture and you learn as you go, from what you talk to other students, from what you hear, from what piqued your interest during a project and so on. As well, a very good thing at Oxford School of Architecture is that mainly all our tutors and teachers are Oxford University teachers- therefore staff are making efforts in order to preserve the prestige of the institution read more

Very demanding course, not so much academically but drawing, computer and physical models are very time consuming. The amount of time you have to spend working to do well is much more compared to other courses. However the professional qualification you get out of it is worth it. The department is ran by very busy but passionate staff, keen to improve and listen to the views of students. read more
