Transferred to 3D at the end of the year and enjoyed the teacher and teaching much more, tasks seemed more engaging. Beginning of the year projects were difficult for me to engage in especially the first project and the team projects considering they were randomised, presenting every week was tiring and agreed by a few students to not be helpful as constructive feedback wasn’t always given. read more

My course is very disappointing. It is VERY poorly run, the Tutors never know what they are doing and are extremely bad at comunicating basic information. They are not very involved in our work aswell. Our studio space does not even provide basic supplies. Considering th eamount of money we pay, this is not worth it. read more

Honestly, when compared to other universities, this is not worth your money. In the university max of 2 times a week. You are left to work just about everything out on your own and there are no tutoring sessions on important things, like budget management, team building and management. When going to tutors for help, to get the most out of your money and the university, the tutors act like theres something really wrong and that you shouldn't be coming to them for advice? Very inactive course. read more

The only reason I'm not sure about value for money is because I basically paid £3000 to work on a film where the "cinematographer" didn't know how to use a damn camera. Our lecturer for first year was extremely pretentious and he had a bias towards certain students on the course that were on the foundation course and brown nosed him the entire time. We had an issue with our lecturer over a short film we had made where he made us legitimately question whether or not we wanted to be on the course, that's a 6 man team. However that lecturer is gone now and I'm very happy with his replacement. read more

As for first year, it has been perfect. I really could ask for anything better. There is a large range of tutors with different backgrounds who are very experienced. Each time you are in the studio it's hard not to be spoken to or checked up on by someone. There is a large range of projects that include a very helpful crit every Friday. This can seem daunting but it's alot like the real work world. The course prepares you perfectly for the graphics work world and idea generation. Not having a specialisation has been really helpful to experiment. It always has everything you need available especially for printing facilities. Couldn't recommend enough. read more
