Was great until covid hit but we have had no teaching since, communication has always been bad but non existent like the teaching since campus closed. Still don't have confirmation of how next year is going to work and we start the new term in 2 weeks! We feel abandoned everyone's tutors tells them different information so seems like even communicating between staff is lacking. read more

Unfortunately I have never felt so unsupported. I'm a student nurse and was extremely excited to attend MMU as it seemed like a great university. Unfortunately I've had nothing but problems with the university, from a lack of communication to being told different information by different tutors etc. This has especially been the case during the coronavirus pandemic, I understand it was unexpected but there hasn't been much communication to students in regards to placements, accommodation, exams/essays etc. I would've also hoped for some communication between personal tutors checking up on students but I feel like I've been left to struggle on my own. I really wanted to love this university, I understand that with NMC guidance changing and the coronavirus pandemic there have been a lot of changes, but I had hoped for a lot more support and communication. Sadly, I wish I had attended a different university. read more

Really good job prospects, both undergrad and post. You can easily get a bank job while you’re at uni. Some of the things I’ve learned about nursing have actually been through working bank shifts. Course content is good, as for teaching quality too. Personal tutors are good, however I’ve had trouble accessing mine due to illness and then change of personal tutor. But that’s sorted now, and they can be a good support for you. As for value for money, this is a very expensive degree to do. You work long hours for no extra pay or funding. You’re at uni all year round, so while everyone else is having a great summer, you’ll be doing 13 hour shifts. Fun. But once you get over how financially heavy the degree is, it’s worth it all. (Maybe not all the debt, but most of it) read more
