Teacher are approachable and helpful. But for assessment you have to work by yourself and have to struggle for finding mentor who can guide you through and review your assessments. The course in not really bad but sometimes I feel like the teaching quality should be a little higher. For example, sometimes when they explain something about our assignment they tend to complicate things more. Course content could be a lot better with more accounting, finance or management modules which are more connected with employers' demands. Of course we had a Business Research Methods module but we did not have proper guidance and in the end the majority of students were disappointed with their grade. Also the content of this module had to do with how a proper research should be conducted rather than being a module that includes all the things that I mentioned above. Marketing People Technologies and Organisations is a good module and not very difficult. Also all modules involve a lot of team work activities and creativity, like the Ideas Creativity and Entrepreneurship module. In general it is a good course depending on your interests. read more

Enjoying the course so far. The Business School is very modern and attractive which makes it a nice place to study. Business lecturers are mostly friendly & very knowledgeable in their field. Haven't joined any societies, but there seems to be a huge range to suit different interests - students can start their own too. Location is excellent - there are so many shops, bars, restaurants, & the MMU library around so you rarely need to go to the city centre! Overall it's a lively uni in a great location. read more

The course is really interesting and makes me want to engage, however sometimes the set up of seminars and the timetable lets it down and makes me not want to go in. The job opportunities are endless with the course being so broad and varied and the option to do a placement enhances your career aspects, you also get a lot of support on this and on employability which is good. The teachers can vary as some have been very hands on and supportive and actually teach you a lot, and sometimes others can make you wonder why you pay to come to university. The one thing I will critisize hugely is the personal tutor scheme, in my two years of university I have never spoken to my personal tutor or even know who they are, and university doesn't enforce this scheme more, so I have never had the opportunity to speak one to one with a personal tutor about my studies and development. read more

Course is great apart from synergy unit which is a new unit which holds nothing to do with our course and e tutors on it are horrible walk out after 20 minutes of a 2 hour lecture. Many people on the course are formally complaining about the unit so hopefully it won't be there next year for the new 2nd year read more
