Most of my work was self taught, lectures are informal however sometimes didn’t even last the full duration. I barely went to lectures because I didn’t find them substantial enough and often questioned “why am I here”. I used to not go to lectures and sit at home on moodle and read the PowerPoints and do work for myself because if I went into uni a lot of the lectures were just reading off the PowerPoint and I thought to myself “I can read I don’t need someone to read to me”. I got mostly 2:1 and 2:2 in my assignments with the occasional first, not bad for 5% attendance and a 2:2 overall when I graduated. It just shows that the quality of teaching wasn’t there if I was able to achieve this through simply reading the PowerPoints and gaining the knowledge at home. The lectures were not enriching. read more
