Regarding the certain subject you get plenty of help by your tutors in seminars and workshops. Lectures on the other hand can be a bit dull but ,seriously it’s a lecture, you can’t expect everything to be interesting. There are many opportunities provided for students to participate in out of uni events aswell. read more

Obviously law is a difficult subject in its own right so it is difficult to grasp and likely difficult to teach so some of the lecturers do an excellent job. My personal tutor is THE most helpful and friendly person I have come across in my education lifetime. Topics are somewhat interesting, some are boring but that comes with the course I guess. I wouldn’t rate the course on value for money simply because the fees are extortionate and will never provide value for money whether you are getting the best teaching or the worst teaching. I worked out it is costing each student £57 per hour for the teaching at university. So it would never be value for money. Good course though. read more

Unknown job prospects. Teaching quality except for criminal law, is poor. Materials are not updated in Moodle, the coursework is not clear.I did not receive feedback on Tort law despite the fact that that, supposedly, goes against university policy. Not so sure I would have chosen law in this uni. read more

Value for money is a bit pointless when everywhere charges the same fees. Most of the lecturers are really nice, there are some with reputations for being harsh but that will be the same anywhere. You are assigned a personal tutor, some are better than others but a lot of it comes down to what you put in. You aren't forced to see them at any point so it depends how much effort you make. They are always there to help if you need, although not with coursework content as you are supposed to be learning that yourself. A lot of people I know have managed to get jobs on graduation. Its a very competitive field but I certainly don't feel at any way disadvantaged by my university. read more

As with all universities that charge £9000 for tuition fees, you're never going to get great value for money, for those extortionate prices. I have very few contact hours during the week and a lot of the work is done independently, so you get out what you put in. However the Law school staff members are very accessible should you have any questions, and you do get contact time with a small number of people to go through the work discussed in the lecture. read more
