I am a first year student studying geography at Lancaster university. I believe that university was the best decision for me, as I joint a welcoming college based community, meeting the most amazing people and being given lots of opportunities to explore and experience a variety of things. The campus is beautiful with lots of open space and greenery and plenty of amenities including small shops for groceries and supplies, bars with such different atmospheres and places to eat. It is clean and spacious and feels like a little village. The collegiate system makes it feel like there are completely different avenues within the campus, making it much more homely. WiFi is excellent on campus nothing to complain about. Rooms are decent but look a bit aged in places and a lot of money for an en-suite. Campus is really good for social spaces and all the bars are within walking distance which is great for a night out. A nice cosy university with a collection of lovely shops and cafes for convenience. Many open facilities, bookable or not. Location is less convenient to travel to town, but still a wonderful place to be, with an enjoyable course and support for mental well-being. read more

Campus is fantastic, pretty good wifi connection around most of campus. Very good facilities. The student union do not have enough power or influence to govern the out-of-control pricing of sports facilities and food and drink. They could subsidise more. Student unions at other universities do better. read more
