I love how much choice I have when it's comes to picking my modules, as in third year all of my modules are optional. I really have enjoyed the course content as you can really tailor it to your interests and the teaching staff are so lovely, plan their classes well and try to engage students as much as they can. It's unfortunate, however, that I missed so much teaching throughout my 3 year course due to strikes, perhaps up to 3 weeks per year. I received a lot of support from my dissertation supervisor and assessment is mainly coursework based which I prefer over end of year exams. Overall, I really enjoyed my degree but the strikes did get in the way and makes the degree not really worth the money I'm paying. read more

Unfortunately I am leaving King's after first year. It was not the uni experience I expected. I came to uni looking to go to the pub loads, and go out with friends - at least in first year. But it has been the complete opposite. The amount of work I received was immense, not just with the reading which I expected, but endless amounts of long essays etc which did not count towards any grades whatsoever. I have personally found it very intense. That is not a representation for everyone but this is my experience. I have found the uni cohort to be largely unsocial, making it hard to make friends etc etc. Unfortunately coming here made my mental health plummet and as a result I am moving universities. The teaching is good and staff are helpful for the most part. For someone who thrives on an active social life, coming here was the wrong choice! For someone who is very work driven this is perfect, but for the classic British uni experience... I'm not so sure! read more
