Marine and Freshwater Biology, BSc Hons FullTime

I got a written apology from the Dean. Technical staff are patient and helpful all round. Inconsistent level of effort across teaching staff. While some lecturers are obviously passionate about their field, others are clearly there for the job. student attendance rates low in Some modules owing to vapid lectures. Module coursework can overlap. Some make their own online workbooks and self-tests, others read off the board for 2-3 hours, only to list off books to read that the Uni either can't afford or has only 5 to share of. Too many unsupervised online tests; allowing for many students to cheat by doing them together. No sit down exams in 4th year! You do a project 80% and a poster 20% While i can't speak for other people, my project supervisor was detrimental enough for my degree to graduate with a written apology from the Dean of the university on account of staff conduct. read more
