The Students’ Union is a highlight, offering numerous societies, sports clubs, volunteering, and leadership programs that foster personal growth and community spirit. The university also provides strong support services, such as the Wellbeing Hub and peer mentoring. To improve, it could introduce counsellor specialists for neurodivergent students and expand sensory-friendly quiet study spaces. Clearer communication about support services would also help. I came into coventry as an international student who has never been out of my country, Nigeria before. I was anxious about enrolling and adapting to the school environment but luckily for me there were student ambassadors at almost every faculty in the school who were willing to help out. Adapting was very easy. Learning is very easy as well. My lecturers take their time to teach and ensure I understand, despite the fact that I am a master's student and should ordinarily do independent learning. Getting my coursework brief at the beginning of the semester helps me to dedicate enough time into completing it. I joined the music, Nigerian, and international students society. This helped me make friends and prevented me from feeling lonely. I am now also part of the student union as course rep which boosts my CV and gives me a voice. It feels good to be heard. There are also health and faith based groups in the student hub. As a christian, this has helped me with my faith. read more

Being in my penultimate year I have really come to appreciate all that Coventry has to offer. The student city is very accessible with a wide range of accommodations located near campus as well as near the city centre. Their academic team goes above and beyond, a trait I have grown to appreciate over the last year. We are all assigned a success coach and mine (honourable mention Sarah) checks up on me regularly, and helps me with day to day situations. It almost feels like having an informal mum at Uni and considering I moved from London, it helps to know I have a support system nearby. Also as I’m from such a large city it’s nice to explore Coventry and appreciate hidden gems (this was apart of one of my modules) in order to better our understanding of the local area and how they contribute to our academic life. All in all I thoroughly enjoy my time and Coventry university and I’m grateful for all that I have and am I yet to learn. read more
