Done this year as I just under achieved ucas points. Was a bit simple and at times slow for me as doing science A-levels it was very simple or the same work. Assignments and practicals structured well. read more

Public Health and Community Studies (HNC), HNC FullTime

Master's in Public Health Nutrition is both interesting and challenging. The online teaching was easily provided for us. Any help was provided by our lecturers along with constant follow up . I think , however , they need to teach more about critical appraisal and academic writing as students come from different educational backgrounds , to ensure that the gaps they might have are fulfilled. read more

Paramedic Science, BSc Hons FullTime

Started the first year 1 week later than other students. This wasn't communicated to us until 3 days before starting (frustrating already as I could have continued working for another week). 2nd lecture was cancelled due to the lecturer being ill. No cover was arranged & we were told this as we'd got there. Content isn't much more than what is covered in an access course. Anatomy, physiology & pharmacology lectures are typical 2-hour death by PowerPoint sessions full of spelling & grammar mistakes. The practical sessions consist of another PowerPoint presentation where information is given as a guide. We're frequently told that not every paramedic will agree that this is the correct way to do this.. Following the presentation, actual practical sessions are usually rooms set up with 4-6 CPR Annies where we're told to get on with learning the skill. There's a new, young lecturer who has a rather obnoxious & patronising "teaching style". Parking is poor and you have to pay. Food is dear. read more

Paramedic Science, BSc Hons FullTime

This course at Coventry university is amazing. The staff have honestly made my university experience. The Lecturers really are the loveliest people you can meet, they're all passionate about the job. Furthermore, they're also from so many different areas of the job that it makes teaching so interesting. From paramedics who worked in London, to critical care, air ambulance and RAF. They all really care about the students and the subject they're teaching. The course is intense but so worth it. You get to have placement with one of the best Ambulance Services in the country (WMAS) which features on various TV series such as Ambulance and 999 on the Frontline. This course really is so worth it read more

Course stated OK but towards the end, tutors started caring less and less and there is poor communication between the uni and WMAS placement mentors. Uni don't offer much support and leave you to fend for yourself. Overall, poor experience and would not recommend this course at this uni. read more

This University is definitely not for this type of course, It combines nutrition and food science so half of the course you may not enjoy since it is a mix of both and may feel like it does not apply with what you want to do. read more

I'd say the teaching quality varies. Some of my lecturers are amazing but I have a problem with one because I just could not understand her. I love the services given by CovUni though. They are very thoughtful in terms of mental health and support. read more
