Criminology, BA Hons FullTime

I have really enjoyed studying for my Criminology degree at Bournemouth University. The course has been engaging, and I have gained valuable insights into crime, justice, and the wider societal factors that influence criminal behavior. The lecturers are knowledgeable, and the course content has been thought-provoking, helping me develop a strong understanding of criminological theories and real-world applications. However, I feel that certain modules could be implemented to further enhance the degree. For example, incorporating more content on forensics and criminological psychology would provide a more well-rounded perspective on crime and investigation. These areas are crucial in understanding criminal behavior and the justice system, and I believe they would add great value to the course. Overall, my experience studying Criminology has been rewarding, and I appreciate the opportunities it has provided. With a few additional modules, the course could be even more comprehensive and read more

Sociology & Criminology, BA Hons FullTime

Unfortunately, I only get 9 hours of teaching a week, making me question the £9,250 I spend in tuition fees per year. However the library resources and facilities on both campuses help massively with independent study. The lecturers are committed to the course, with additional help available for students who are struggling for example drop in sessions. My personal tutor is very helpful and welcoming. He is always there when students have issues whether personal or course related and has office hours where students are able to talk to him. Additionally, he can be contacted via Microsoft Teams. read more
