The lecturers regularly remind students they are open to feedback and are highly equipped on handling each subject and are proactive towards how they choose to format that information for students to view. On my course, it's niche and thus job prospects and people who specialise in it can be few and far in between, but the University makes you aware of what resources you can tap into in order to try and independently pursue that. The variety of units gives a unique set of greater understanding, as well as it being one of the few of its kind to be accredited! When you crunch the numbers, each lecture tends to be around £70-something, so you'd hope that your getting as much as this loan is giving. Well, safe to say the lecturers give it their all and encourage an open dialogue regardless of whether it's a lecture or seminar, should anyone have and questions, answers, or additional comments. read more

I’m only on my 2nd semester in my 1st year but I really like this course! Intro to forensics is VERY similar to a Criminology alevel (which I did) so I found I knew 80% of what was being said anyways, which is good. Then there’s a chemistry unit, which was difficult but not too bad, and the labs were fun. We did some crime scene training, like how to take fingerprints, how to take fibre tapings, and identifying the importance of certain evidence etc. I genuinely felt like I was back at my flat more than I was at uni tho, I was only in 3 days for like 10 hours total maybe??? Kinda crazy (this term is worse tho rip) but it wasn’t awful because some days were packed (my Mondays were 10-7) read more
